Nalanda
University is Most famous and Ancient
University of India.It was founded by Gupta dynasty. Magadha was associated with this university. On that nalandha university,
there were many scholars from various countries, studied. And there thought their students vedas.
Historical sources
said that the University had a long life which lasted almost continually for
800 years from the fifth to the twelfth century CE. It was a completely
residential university believed to have 2,000 teachers and 10,000
students. The Nalanda ruins reveal through their architectural components the
holistic nature of knowledge. That university suggests a seamless co-existence between
nature and man, and between living and learning.
The profound knowledge of Nalanda Universities’s teachers attracted many
scholars from places as distant as China, Korea, Japan, Tibet, Mongolia,
Turkey, Sri Lanka, and South East Asia. These scholars have left records about
the ambience, architecture, and learning at this unique university. The most
detailed accounts have come from Chinese scholars and the best known of these
is Xuan Zang who carried back many hundred scriptures which were later
translated into Chinese.
Kalam's Suggestion
Our
former president Dr. A.P.J. Abdul kalam suggested the idea in Legislative
Assembly of Bihar to takeover Nalada University to establish it on March 2006. Nalanda
is one of the top most universities in the world. There so many, scholars got education in the
Ancient Period. It was maintained by gupta dynasty. Scholars from china came to
India get to Education at this University. And so many scholars from various
countries mentioned about this university and it’s popularity.
This
university reveals the proud of Our
country. This University is one of the best heritage of India. Scholars learnt
from this University said that “ Here they they learnt a lot like Architecture,
as grammar, logic, literature, astrology, astronomy,
and medicine.
